DermaSilk® is the innovative line of therapeutic clothing conceived by Alpretec for people suffering from skin diseases or various other skin problems. Its effectiveness comes from the unique and original combination of the beneficial properties of pure silk fibrin, enhanced by a knitting process with a permanent antimicrobial action.

Its effectiveness in different types of skin diseases has been certified by numerous clinical studies and laboratory tests.

-  Microbiological Test: Certifies that the polymerised antimicrobial on DermaSilk silk knitwear does not alter the natural bacterial flora of the skin (Test carried out by Prof. P. Mandrioli of the CNR - Istituto ISAC - Bologna).

- Microbiological Test: Certifies that the polymerised antimicrobial on DermaSilk silk knitwear performs a biocide action against the fungus Malassezia Furfur (Test carried out by Prof. P. Mandrioli of the CNR - Istituto ISAC - Bologna).

- Microbiological Test: Certifies that the polymerised antimicrobial on DermaSilk silk knitwear prevents the growth of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus without releasing substances into the environment (Test carried out at the Experimental Station of the Milan Polytechnic).

- Test in vitro: Demonstrates that DermaSilk does not act by release and therefore does not alter the natural microbial equilibrium of the organism (Vittorio Sambri et al., Department of Haematology, Oncology and Microbiology - Bologna University).

Treating Scabies: Scabies is a common contagious parasitic skin condition. The disease is generally transmitted through the sarcoptes scabiei var hominis mite through direct skin-to-skin contact, but in the case of scabies the transmission can be through microbial substances, such as contaminated clothing or bedding.
